Buenos Aires, 1979

An Argentine artist, curator, and cultural manager, Catalan by adoption, he lives in the Vall de Llémena (Girona, Spain). His artistic practice is deeply influenced by Japanese culture and the art of shodō (Japanese calligraphy).
Following an early period devoted to stage direction, photography, and interdisciplinary artistic practices, his encounter with artist Mihoko Ono marked a turning point in his career. After five years of training under her guidance, he shifted his focus toward gesture, ink, and movement, developing Traç Brut, an artistic approach that brings Japanese calligraphic avant-garde, Art Brut, and contemporary performance into dialogue.
His current practice explores the brushstroke as a living act, where gesture, body, writing, and desire converge in an experience that is both visual and performative.
He is co-founder and president of Acashodo (Catalan Association of Japanese Calligraphy), an organization dedicated to research, education, and the promotion of this art form. In 2024, he founded the first Shodō Festival in Catalonia. Together with Christian T. Arjona, he has also published Quietudes. Poesía Zen (2023) and Kawa. El libro del río (2025), two books bringing poetry and calligraphy together.
He is currently developing the first Spanish art journal dedicated to the art of the brushstroke, with a particular focus on Chinese and Japanese calligraphic traditions.
